Situated in the heart of Hepburn Springs village, The Argus Dining Room is the newest culinary experience in the Daylesford & Macedon Ranges. Located in an original 1930’s Art Deco dining room, guests can enjoy a fresh, seasonal menu in understated but sophisticated surroundings designed by interior designer Stuart Rattle.
Operated by Frank Moylan and Melissa Macfarlane, (ex Farmers Arms, Daylesford and Royal George, Kyneton) in collaboration with owners Wayne Cross and Chris Malden, The Argus Dining Room serves Modern Australian cuisine with an emphasis on regional produce.
The team is led by Executive Chef Ryan Sessions, (2 chefs hats) previously of The Merrijigg Inn at Port Fairy. Utilising produce grown onsite in the Argus Kitchen Garden, the menu is also supplemented by rare breed cattle and sheep from the owners nearby farm ‘Birch Estate’ in Smeaton
