Peppers Mineral Springs is celebrating its million dollar makeover with a gourmet dining event and weekend; showcasing the recently relaunched Wild Birch Dining Room, resplendent in elegant country grandeur, and the culinary flair of the property’s Executive Chef, Martin Horsley and special guest, MasterChef Series 3 winner, Kate Bracks. This will be Kate’s first public event since her big win was televised in July 2011.
Kate and Martin will prepare and present an exquisite seven-course Spring Degustation Dinner with matching international and local Victorian wines, showcasing the spectacular flavours of Spring, local Daylesford produce and rare beef sourced from the property’s own farm, Birch Estate. Dessert specialist, Kate Bracks, fresh from completing her new cookbook, will create a surprise dessert to complete this evening of gastronomic pleasure.
The beautifully refurbished Peppers Mineral Springs Retreat is the perfect location for Kate’s debut back onto the culinary stage, with MasterChef Gary Mehigan’s former Executive Chef from Fenix Restaurant, Martin Horsley at her side. With Martin and Kate together, the evening will be as eloquent as it is divinely delicious.
The complete MasterChef Gourmet Weekend package includes 2 nights’ accommodation on Friday 4 & Saturday 5 November, cocktail party on Friday evening, MasterChef Spring Degustation Dinner and gourmet buffet breakfast each morning from $675 per person in a traditional hotel room in the Manor House, with options to upgrade to Spa Suites, Terrace Rooms or Villas.
